![]() ![]() But I'm being given so much runaround from all sides on it and nobody can give me a straight answer and it's taking all of my will power to not go to the fraudulent location my damn self and raise holy hell. What options do I have? I saw a post from 9 months ago detailing exactly this same thing happening so I know I'm not alone. Thankfully after I changed the security pin the activity stopped and I don't think they got any money (line owner locked all devices out of the wallet account and has to prove his identity before being allowed back in) but I still want to pursue this legally. I went to a corporate location on Sunday to have an escalation launched but I was told I'd receive information within 48 hours. I mean security password- to make any changes whatsoever including bill pay. I haven't been to this store in months and the specific owner of the line hadn't been in over a year.Īnd my account requires a security pin - Edit for clarity: I don't mean pin. I called the metro pcs customer service line and after an hour and a half while this person was switching device service multiple times while my plan was being watched, customer service tracked the activity to a specific employee ID code (dealer code) at the local store. ![]() ![]() For a few days this person had randomly been switching device activation between the actual phone I own, and their phone they've been activating the number on. They tried to get into a mobile wallet on this phone using 2fa, but thankfully it was caught quickly enough to lock the account. It seems as though an employee at a local store has attempted a serious SIM swap scam on one of the phones on my plan. I'll try my best to explain this concisely. ![]()
