Once the perfect custom scenario has been built, players can start a new game in the exact setting that they wish to play in. Increased Event Strength Multiplier to 120, which I assume increases the difficulty somewhat - yes Workshops / towers / furnaces above ground, rest of settlement buildings below ground. Within this option, players can select not only how many settlers they have at the beginning, but also a narrative, season, and other conditions. Started with normal difficulty, hillside (good choice), medium map. Yes thirsty in this context is not they need to drink against dehydration. Go to the Jobs menu Y and set the priority of Convalesce to 1 for the settler in question (though you really might as well set it to 1 for all of them). With zones, you can create areas where your settlers are expected to bring certain items. One of the mechanics in the game is stockpiles. The room overlay shows all recognized rooms and their types (in different colors) and displays a room legend in the top left corner when turned on. Fill that room with furniture and decorations to create other types of room. The decisions you make shape the way the colony will be. Four walls, at least one door and a roof (or ceiling) creates a spare room. Also have a field somewhere for barley so you can eventually replace sour wine. Create Stockpiles Near the Relevant Stations In Going Medieval, you are tasked with planning out and running a colony. Custom Scenarios are starting points for a new game that players can set the parameters for. You can get to brewing research very quickly and from there you can use 20 red currant berries to create 10 sour wine. However, for more impatient players, there is another way. Grow the population of your settlement by helping out strangers in dangerous situations, or by taking in like-minded travellers. This and ensuring the settlers have a place to sleep and weapons to use are the main basic goals. In this situation, also make sure to equip all of the settlers or as many as possible with weapons so they can defend themselves. Whatever the player chooses, it must be completed within two days of the settlers arriving to fight off the upcoming raid. To do this players will need to either build a wall or barricade. For example, if the settlers arrived due to being chased out of their previous residence by bandits, prepare for a raid immediately after sheltering the settlers.
